January 23, 2008 - Sub-Prime, Foreclosure, and Credit Concerns

Panelists will address: how current economic events have and will effect the greater Willow Grove business and nonprofit community? How will individual families be effected? What can be done to forestay a foreclosure? And how does knowing one's credit score, position, and repairing one's credit help to work towards stable financial position?

February 27, 2008 - Businesses and Nonprofits Partnering for Success

Panel discussion featuring both businesses and nonprofits who have demonstrated that partnering across business and nonprofit lines can have distinctive benefits.

March 26, 2008 - Social Networking Via the Internet

Panelists will address the Linked-in, You-Tube, My Space, Space-Book phenomenon on the internet. Is this a place for businesses to "do" business or advertise? What are the risks and consequences over which to be concerned. This should be a rather lively topic about many have distinct opinions.

April 23, 2008 - Community Issues: Health Care - Insured, Non-insured, and Underinsured

Health issues and insurance coverage cut across the community: family coverage, businesses facing escalating insurance costs, how much to pass on to employees, where to go if there is no coverage, how does the nonprofit community address the shortfalls and coverage gaps, etc.

May 28, 2008 - Disaster Preparedness II - The threat of Disasters that might effect our Community

Expert panelists will discuss plans and procedures for staff responses, sick children, flu epidemic, work station survival, school shootings, local help information sources

June 25, 2008 - Human Resource, Personnel Policies, Volunteer Coordination, and Community Relations

Panelists will present various examples and working models for effective human resource management, coordinating volunteerism, the positive effects of volunteerism from a business perspective, Board member recruitment, development and training within the local nonprofit community.

September 24, 2008 - Leadership Training & Interpersonal Skill Training

This Roundtable will be a session at which to provide training in leadership development, coordination, and relational interaction monitoring.

October 22, 2008 - Creative Revenue Generation for Nonprofits

Panelists will discuss various approaches for a nonprofit to create a commercial enterprise in order to expand its financial base of operations. Many variables need to be considered, yet thinking outside of the box will be a basic premise.

December 3, 2008 - Useful Internet Services to Improve Your Business

There are numerous services provided on the internet that can have a positive effect on one's business development and expansion. Off site storage, data base storage, employment services, Volunteer Match, Tech-Soup, N-Power, advertising opportunities. This discussion will address the pros and cons of involvement.
