History of The Collaborative
In 2004, The Collaborative was established as "A Project of the Suburban Chamber of Commerce to Forge and Foster Working Alliances to Serve our Community Better— Together". The Collaborative set out to develop a dynamic, multidimensional, collaborative partnership that would seek support and involvement from diverse and non-traditional partners with a vision of long-term change.
With initial support from Prudential Financial, The Collaborative has been working since 2004 to make this local partnering effort relevant, informative, challenging, mutually beneficial and appealing to the communities served by the Suburban Chamber of Commerce.
In 2008, the Suburban Chamber of Commerce ceased operations, and The Collaborative came under the umbrella of the Suburban Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.
